How much does Roaming cost?
When you make a call or send an SMS you will be charged the rate for the zone you are in. When someone calls you (from Australia or overseas), they will be charged the normal cost of a call or SMS to a Live Connected mobile in Australia. You pay Live Connected's zone rate for receiving calls in the country you are in, as below.

All rates listed in $AUD. Voice & Video Calls rates are shown per minute and charged with an initial increment of 60 seconds and per 30 seconds thereafter.
Data is charged in 10KB increments. To send or receive an email may use about 20 KB, this can cost about $0.80. A Facebook page is about 30 KB, this can cost around $1.20. One minute of streaming video may use about 1MB, this can cost around $41.20. These figures are based on an average mobile internet page or email and will depend on the handset type.

Some handsets may not be supported by all networks. 3G requires compatible mobiles/devices to use GPRS and 3G data. To make and receive video calls, both calling and receiving parties require a 3G mobile and must be located in a 3G coverage area on a network that supports video calling.
Can I use my mobile while on a cruise?
You can use your mobile services onboard maritime vessels while the ship is at sea. When you make a call, send an SMS or use data services you will be charged the Roaming rate for the zone of Maritime (Other [Sat , Aero & Marine]). Once the ship reaches port, you can connect to the local network at which point you will be charged the Roaming rate for the country you are in. To find which cruise can you use your mobile, you may access www.mcp.com; www.cellularatsea.com; www.siminn.co.uk and www.seanet.se.
GPRS/Data
All browsing, downloading, application updates or use of email on your mobile outside Australia will incur data charges of $0.40 per 10 KB. How to turn off Data iPhones: Setting > General > Network > Data > ON/OFF Android: Settings > Wireless and network > Mobile networks > Data (check/uncheck). BlackBerry Bold and Torch: 1. Select: Manage Connections from the Blackberry Menu Page 2. Select: Mobile Network Options 3. Select: Data Services 4. to turn on or turn off data service when roaming, change the While Roaming field.

To access your Voicemail overseas, call +61 411 000 321 or text A to "321". Standard charges apply.
Is Global Roaming available on my Live Connected service?
Yes, simply call us or login to your 'My Account' online to activate Global roaming. Live Connected do require a $200 bond payment from a nominated credit card in order to activate Global Roaming.
